Sitting within our Cyber Fusion Centre, the Threat Intelligence Service is seeking a Threat Intelligence Specialist to join our team, to proactively identify and collect relevant cyber threat information, enriched across multiple threat feeds and data sources, to ultimately deliver actionable intelligence to our stakeholders. The role will be key in playing a crucial role in the identification of potential threats against the Sky Group and our third parties.

What you'll do

  • Provide a global Cyber Threat Intelligence capability by performing horizon scanning and research using OSint and commercial threat intelligence tooling to proactively identify and analyse threats and vulnerabilities

  • Use a variety of sources of information to identify and evaluate threats and vulnerabilities targeting Sky's attack surface entities, to collect and produce CTI products.

  • Identify new and emerging threat actors and groups, their Tactics, Techniques and Procedures used, and track according to identifiers and/or behaviours.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of cyber threats and vulnerabilities at a tactical and/or operational level, identifying and using appropriate analytical tools and techniques to interpret gaps, patterns, and trends

  • Work with global teams to identify business intelligence requirements and adopt processes to manage potential threats.

  • Produce technical findings and concepts to key stakeholders utilising an understanding of attacker methodologies and attack lifecycle.

  • Provide support and coaching to junior members of the team and quality assurance of products across the team.

  • Being able to review complex data sources, including the use of SPLUNK queries, to identify anomalous activity and report behaviours

What you'll bring

A strong believer of security as an enabler to support business growth with practical experience in cyber security to improve incident detection, vulnerability management and/or response.

  • A self-starter that is keen to get involved, be part of a team, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, is hard-working and flexible, with a desire to promote the service.

  • Strong communications skills: Excellent ability to communicate complex issues to the relevant audience, both verbally and in written form, create strong working relationships, and generate clear and concise technical reports and presentations for stakeholders, from technical analysts to senior leadership teams; engaging effectively, across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Technical skills: Familiarity with commercial threat intelligence and/or vulnerability tooling and systems i.e., Recorded Future, Tenable, Panaseer or similar solutions, Threat Intelligence platforms, SIEM and SOAR environments, and the development or implementation of new security tooling and dashboards.

  • Security knowledge and experience: Professional experience in cyber security, specifically threat intelligence, incident response or vulnerability management. Expertise in the identification of technical threats and vulnerabilities relating to global enterprise environments and/or global telco infrastructure.

  • Threat Landscape awareness: Able to demonstrate the creation of cyber threat landscape reporting, operational, tactical, and strategic intelligence, and the remediation of cyber threats.
