Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Our purpose is to future-proof the business; unleashing the benefits of inclusion to create a culture where everyone can thrive.

We celebrate diversity. Because different people, with different perspectives, make Sky a better business. The way we see it, our customers are incredibly diverse so we should be, too. We want you to fully embrace being yourself. Whoever you are. Wherever you’re from.

We also believe that a company of our scale has a responsibility that goes beyond our business, and into the community. We recently announced a series of commitments to help tackle racial injustice and improve diversity and inclusion.

We’re completely committed to achieving a better gender and ethnic balance. We’re investing in programmes so that we can help talent from all backgrounds build brilliant careers — at Sky and beyond.

Our DE&I promise

On-screen and off-screen, we’re working to increase representation across the business. Every hiring manager completes training on inclusive hiring practices, creating space for candidates with disabilities to shine throughout the recruitment process.

Everyone should be able see a clear path of progression and imagine a long career at Sky. We use data insights to ensure that we deliver on this promise. Everyone has different needs, and we recognise that. We are continuing to make growth and development a priority.

We always aim to champion an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued, respected and dignified. We understand that everyone can, and should, make a difference. That’s why the majority of our leadership team are trained in inclusive leadership.

Using our voice

We are committed to being a force for good and pushing for positive change. We continually work with partners to tackle inequality, racism and prejudice in our communities and wider society. Through our content and our influence, we can champion unheard voices and unite communities.

Employee networks

It’s not just our broadband connecting people. At Sky, we have several networks for our employees to meet and connect with each other.

Attention to detail. Task-juggling. Great leadership. The skills you need in the military are what we look for here, too. From our relationship with the Career Transition Partnership to our on-the-job technical training, we give service people the support they need to transition into a role at Sky.

We want to help everyone feel their best, and work at their best. Our network encourages open discussion of mental health, disability and long-term illness. We replace stigma and silence with understanding and acceptance.

LGBT+ logo

Our vision is to be an employment leader in LGBTQ+ inclusion and champion positive change in society, and our LGBTQ+ network is open to members and allies alike. We’re proud to have earned a Stonewall LGBTQ+ Inclusive Employer Gold award in 2023.
