Design Graduate Placement

If you're curious about a career in product design or exploring where your creative skills could take you, this placement is a great place to start.


On this one-year programme, you’ll join Sky Design, part of the wider Global Design team across Sky and Comcast. Together, we design the experiences that sit at the heart of the home, from the interfaces people use every day to the connected platforms powering Sky products.


You’ll work alongside designers, researchers and engineers to turn ideas into real experiences for millions of customers. Across two six-month rotations, you’ll explore different design disciplines, build practical skills and discover where your strengths lie.

What you’ll do

You’ll become part of the team, contributing to real design work that shapes Sky products and experiences and work across teams including Entertainment, Sports, New Products, Commerce, Platform and Experimentation. Across the programme you could:

Work alongside lead and senior designers on live product design projects

Support UX researchers in planning research and analysing user insights

Use industry tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and UserZoom

Develop your presentation skills and learn how to communicate design ideas clearly

Take part in design reviews and learn how to give and receive feedback

Join workshops focused on emerging design tools and ways of working

What we’re looking for

You might already have a design degree, some relevant experience, or have explored design through less formal routes, we’re open to different paths and excited to help you develop your skills. You need to:


  • Be aged 18 or over by October 2026
  • Have the right to work in the UK by the programme start date (Sky doesn’t offer sponsorship)
  • Have a portfolio or examples of previous design work you can share

  • Passionate about design — both visually and conceptually
  • Interested in understanding user behaviour and solving real problems
  • Confident sharing ideas and collaborating with others
  • Someone people enjoy working with, who communicates clearly and brings a positive attitude
