I’m in Facility Services, my tasks are managing and maintaining the physical infrastructure of our office building. This includes a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the workplace environment.

Me and my colleagues oversee tasks; such as cleaning and janitorial services, building maintenance and repairs, and access control, landscaping and groundskeeping, waste management, and more.

Additionally, I also manage services; such as mailroom operations, parking facilities, and conference room setup.

This plays a crucial role in creating a safe, comfortable, and productive work environment for employees, visitors, and clients. I work closely with other departments, such as human resources, IT, and finance, to support the overall functioning of the organisation.

I love working in Facility Services, because it allows me to make a tangible impact on the daily lives of others. From ensuring that the office space is clean and well-maintained, to coordinating repairs and improvements. I take pride in creating a comfortable and functional environment for everyone.

I enjoy the variety of tasks that come with the job. From managing vendors and budgets to troubleshooting issues and finding creative solutions.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is seeing the direct results of my efforts - whether it's receiving positive feedback from colleagues or witnessing the transformation of a space after a successful renovation project. I also appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with different teams and departments, as it allows me to learn from others and continuously improve my skills.

Overall, working in Facility Services gives me a sense of purpose and fulfilment, knowing that I am contributing to the overall well-being and productivity of the organisation. I am grateful for the challenges and opportunities that come with the job, and I look forward to continuing to grow and make a difference in this field.

Outside of my responsibilities in Facility Services, I'm in the Core-Team of the Multiculture Network. The highlights for me are all the 'get togethers' and talks we do with our members and other networks of course.

Different cultures who learn from each other and can teach each other.
