Our ownership covers Tibco Orchestrator and the Billing system, together with the service ownership around entitlements, logistic, partnership, billing.
It's a pure technical responsibility in the backend of Sky architecture: i.e. if you buy Bundesliga, the systems that will entitle you to see the matches is here.
My role allows me to see things from different perspectives. Leading a team involves burdens and honours - being the main key to bridging between your resources and the company's management levels.
Teamwork aimed at excellence, and the responsibility of helping people and colleagues grow are the things I love most.
As a career highlight, I choose the first decision that made me to be here now. Three years ago, I decided to take responsibility for a new, unknown and completely outsourced system, and I was alone in the team.
To date, that system is the heart of all processes, known and used also by operational and business levels. With a team of 20+ people, it has been a path of growth both in terms of resources and team, both technical and cultural, which has promoted my career and be here to tell you about it.
IT is a dynamic and Agile environment, where the ability to adapt is key to success. If there's one thing for certain, technology will always change and advance, which is good for me as I know that my job would never be boring, bringing daily motivations.
As member of the Sky team I feel lucky to work with talented and passionate people, who love learning something new every day and sharing their experiences.
I am happy to always encourage a workplace culture of inclusivity by making opportunities for employees to mix and chat. For example, I encourage both formal events, like town hall meetings, and casual events like company-wide lunches or cross-team activities.
My team composition shows in itself how inclusive we are. Half of the team is located in India, and the other half comes from 4 different countries in the world, including myself!
