I lead the Planning & Delivery team - the department within Data that sources and assigns scrum masters and project managers to cross-functional programs like Sales & Service, GDPR Compliance, Cloud Enablement & legacy system decommissioning.

What is it that you love most about your role?

Working with people: we are a highly diverse and international team. It gives me great joy to develop each individual's skills in my team, help them grow in their role and advance them in their careers.

It is also a great pleasure to work with so many smart, talented people in the whole data team and my peers in the leadership team.

Describe a project, or career highlight where you were able to make a difference.

Back in 2013, I was assigned as lead to the "Sky Goes Green" project. We abolished the To-Go Coffee cups, prompted the exchange of our printer system for environment friendlier versions with new default settings, reinforced the correct separation of our garbage and started the annual "Bike to Work" competition.

The results were measurable. For example; the number of trees that did not have to be cut because we saved and recycled print paper, avoided emissions and tons of non-recyclable garbage.

At Sky we’re always challenging ourselves to deliver the next big thing. Describe what that’s like and why it’s exciting.

One innovation I have led as project manager was "on-demand viewing" by connecting our receivers to the internet.

Another "revolutionary" concept was to replace the sports testimonials we had with Elyas M'Barek, as part of the initiative to gain more female audiences and increase awareness to our fiction content. I was driving that as part of the female leadership mentoring team.

How is Sky an inclusive place to work where you can be yourself?

We welcome and embrace all nationalities, genders, ages, personal and social backgrounds. Not just as claim on our website to attract good candidates, but in real life at work every day.

The best proof for this are our active and visible employee networks. Including; Multiculture@Sky, Women@Sky, LGBTQ+@Sky, Enabled@Sky and Parents@Sky.
