Role overview :
This is a high-impact leadership role within Service Operations, sitting at the intersection of customer delivery, operational performance and strategic execution. As a Senior Operations Manager, you’ll lead a key part of the operation, ensuring complex customer roll-outs are planned and executed seamlessly while driving performance, capability and continuous improvement across your teams.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, and Operations to deliver predictable, high-quality outcomes for our customers, while evolving how we operate at scale.
Lead end-to-end operational readiness and planning for complex customer roll-outs, ensuring clear, executable delivery plans with defined milestones, dependencies and ownership
Own operational performance across your area, driving delivery against KPIs while improving predictability, quality and customer experience
Inspire, lead and develop high-performing teams, unlocking capability and building a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
Act as a senior stakeholder across the business, aligning Sales, Operations, Product and partners to deliver against shared goals
Embed structured governance (RAID, reporting, forums), proactively managing risks, issues and dependencies to avoid delivery friction
Contribute to and lead key strategic initiatives across the Service Operations estate, stepping in for senior leadership where required
What you’ll bring :
Essential CriteriaStrong operational leadership experience in a complex, customer-facing environment in the telecommunications industry
Proven track record of delivering performance through others and leading high-performing teams
Experience managing complex delivery or rollout programmes with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
Skilled communicator with the ability to influence at all levels and drive alignment across functions
Strong governance and execution discipline (planning, reporting, risk and issue management)
Ability to simplify complexity, operate at pace and drive continuous improvement
Connectivity provisioning experience (e.g. Mobile, Ethernet, broadband, FTTP)
Experience working across multi-site or large-scale service operations
Exposure to wholesale/partner delivery models and supplier management
Familiarity with operational tooling and CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce)

How you’ll work:
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 2 days in the office per week.

Leeds:
Leeds Whitehall is home to our Digital Tech hub and Contact Centre teams. With vibrant office spaces, chill-out areas, a multi-faith room and restaurant, it’s a great place to work and connect. We’re located just a 10-minute walk from the train station and there’s a bus stop directly outside the office.
Livingston:
Sky Watermark is our central site for Livingston, sitting between Glasgow and Edinburgh. With vibrant office spaces, chill-out areas, and an onsite canteen, it’s a great place to work and connect.
The nearest train station is Livingston North. A Sky shuttle bus runs between the station and campus every 20 minutes throughout the day. Plus, there’s onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
