Sky has a track record of robust carbon and impact reporting. The Responsible Business Team work together to ensure clear carbon reporting and to build good working relationships with important stakeholders and provide them with accurate and transparent information on our progress and challenges, so that together we can build and develop the Sky zero strategy accordingly.

You will work together with the rest of the Responsible Business Team who overall lead the Sky Zero programme, and with other sustainability practitioners across the business, such as the Sky Spaces sustainability manager.

What you'll do:

Working collaboratively across our business and with external partners, you will support the Responsible Business team by monitoring, analysing and presenting Sky’s carbon footprint across Scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions, and selected Scope 3 categories and environmental metrics.

The role also involves engaging the relevant teams across Sky Group, including local Bigger Picture Teams in Germany and Italy, Operations, Technology, Fleet, internal and external auditors, and the Comcast Corporate sustainability team to build on Sky’s leadership position on responsible business.

You will join a cohesive and collaborative team of thought leaders within the central corporate affairs function, and a wider network of sustainability colleagues embedded in the business units.

You will be responsible for:

  • The management, reporting and assurance of Sky’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions, ensuring accuracy, completeness and audit-readiness of data.

  • The management and reporting of Scope 3 categories 3 and 7.

  • Operation and improvement of internal controls to ensure robust energy and emissions data governance.

  • Supporting the transition of energy and emissions reporting to a new data platform utilising Tableau and SQL, improving automation and data integrity.

  • Support data collection for ESG disclosures.

  • Oversight of renewable energy performance, accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with recognised standards and credible tracking of Group renewable electricity performance.

  • Responsibility for substantiating and maintaining Sky’s Scope 1 and 2 carbon neutrality claim, ensuring successful certification.

  • Forecasting of Scope 1 and 2 energy and emissions data to support business planning and tracking performance against targets.

  • Presenting energy and emissions performance data into clear, actionable insights to inform business decision-making and ensure strategy enhancements and progress against commitments.

What you'll bring:

  • Relevant working experience in sustainability, carbon reporting or environmental data or a strong, demonstrable passion for environmental impact, clearly evidenced through your application, experiences or activities.

  • A solid understanding of greenhouse gas accounting principles, particularly Scope 1 and 2, or the curiosity and capability to build this expertise quickly.

  • Experience working with data, reporting or assurance processes, with a strong attention to detail and control.

  • Strong analytical skills, including forecasting, performance tracking and turning data into insight.

  • Good practical skills in Excel and data management, with exposure to SQL or Tableau is a plus.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver to deadlines.

  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.

  • A collaborative mindset, comfortable working across teams, functions and geographies to build trusted relationships.
