Reporting to a Principal Solution Architect, drive solution architecture for a UK&I portfolio. Working in Engineering Solutions as part of UK&I CTO, you’ll be involved in initiatives across customer engagement, sales, commerce, finance, CRM, fulfilment, service & assurance and more domains
What you'll do
Engaging with enterprise and system architecture, and product and engineering teams, break down initiatives into appropriate capability change. Distil complexity into clear architectural guidance.
Constructively challenge commercial and operational requirements, proposing alternate approaches where they can simplify the solution or delivery but still bring value.
Role-model the capability-led approach to architecture and documentation, embedding its use in the team and demonstrating its value to peers and stakeholders. Contribute to the capability model for your area.
Help to build the architecture runway for your portfolio, informed by business and technical objectives, and enterprise architecture strategy.
Work with your peers and colleagues to strive for technical excellence, collaboration and strong delivery.
Contribute to solution architecture governance, engaging positively and effectively in the process.
Participate in enterprise governance forums when appropriate, balancing alignment with Group Architecture strategy with a pragmatic view that drives UK&I’s commercial and operational priorities

Our lively campus is a free shuttle bus away from Livingston North train station and the town centre. Plus
there’s onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
Osterley:
Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon.
Brick Lane
Brick Lane is in the heart of the East End of London. It's part of a vibrant and diverse community; close to street food, cafes and shops.
The closest tube station is Aldgate East and Liverpool Street is about a 10 minute walk.
Leeds:
Our spacious tech hub is under a mile away from Leeds train station. There’s plenty of parking in the
surrounding streets and at the nearby CitiPark.
You can also blow off steam over a game of pool or table tennis, and stay fit at our subsidised gym.
