Partnerships

Proudly Supporting Both Our National Football Teams

Sky is the proud Primary Partner of the Republic of Ireland Men’s and Women’s National Football Teams.

In 2021, Sky agreed a landmark partnership with the FAI, becoming the Women’s National Team first ever standalone primary partner. Since then, women’s football has seen unprecedented growth in Ireland with viewership and attendance at games having also skyrocketed. In 2023, the team played in front of over 38,000 fans at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium for the first time and also qualified for its first ever World Cup in the same year.

In 2024, Sky extended the sponsorship of the Women’s National Team until 2028 and at the same time Sky also agreed a deal to become primary partner of the Men’s National Team. From day-one of our Women’s National Team partnership, our key ambition has been to give them a platform to inspire younger generations to play the game, stay in the game and support the game. As Primary Partner across both teams for the next four years, we now have the opportunity to build on what we have achieved, support our national teams and work with the FAI to ensure future opportunities for young players.

Sky Up Academy Studios Dublin

The Sky Up Academy Studio is an immersive digital learning experience that places young students at centre stage, as media creators. The programme provides students from primary and secondary schools across Ireland with the opportunity to visit the purpose-built pop-up TV studio in Sky Ireland’s Dublin headquarters.

The aim of this is to empower students with essential digital skills and foster a greater understanding of career opportunities in the media and TV industry.
