About our Finance Summer Internship programme – starting July 2025 The Finance Summer Internship programme is an eight-week opportunity for students who want to become accountants. It’s based in Osterley, West London, and offers a chance to join the Graduate Programme in 2026. On our internship you’ll learn about Finance in business, work on a project, collaborate with other teams, improve your problem-solving skills, and at the end present their work to senior Finance staff. Visit our Finance Summer Internship Programme page to learn more.

What you’ll be getting up to during our Insight Week

  • Opportunities to shadow current Finance Graduates.
  • Complete a real-life Finance project.
  • Explanation of the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification, including top tips on how to be successful from current employees in Finance.
  • An insight into our Finance Summer Internship programme, including how to set and track budgets, develop business cases to support projects, and how to interpret data.
  • Tips on how to succeed in our application process.
  • Connect with people working at Sky, from graduates to senior managers and develop your network. Hear about their experiences and how they went from university to working life.

What we’re looking for

The one essential requirement is that you’re studying for an undergraduate degree in any subject, and in your first year.

  • A great verbal and written communicator.
  • Detail focused.
  • People-oriented with strong organisation skills.
  • Proactive and keen to drive improvement.
  • A problem solver, with skills to overcome obstacles.

Eligibility: We’re looking for first-year undergraduate students interested in a career in Finance (or those in their second year of a 4-year course). We accept applicants from any degree subject.

We welcome applications from all and, in line with our public commitment to do more to support gender equality, we particularly encourage female applicants for this Insight Week event.

To be eligible and secure a role on our 2025 Finance internship programme, you are required to have the appropriate right to work in the UK by the start date of the programme. Please be aware Sky does not offer sponsorship for this programme.

It's honestly, it's such a good scheme. Put your hand up for things, be enthusiastic, ask questions, just sort of make the most of it. I feel like the more you put in, the more you going to get out of it.
