About this programme

Collaborating with leading software developers, product owners and technology experts. Working on a product that changes how millions of people watch their favourite shows. There’s only one place where you’ll see action like this in your career – and that’s Sky.

Join our Technology graduate programme and you’ll spend two years taking on varied roles, rising to unique challenges and working on the kind of exciting projects you just don’t find anywhere else. Collaborate with our technology teams across the globe on video streaming platforms, be at the forefront of Gen AI and Machine Learning or even work with teams to help customers connect with the content on multiple platforms. All while discovering first-hand how we bring millions of people the entertainment they know and love.

And the best thing is you don’t have to specialise too soon. From product ownership to pure technical mastery, this programme lets you taste it all before deciding on the career path that suits you best.

What you’ll be doing

This programme gives you exposure to several different areas of our technology business which is where we develop all our game-changing devices and products. Over the course of two years, you’ll take on multiple roles which might include:

  • Product Owner
  • Scrum Master
  • Project Manager
  • Data Analyst
  • Developer

From the start, you’ll get going with complex and challenging projects. You’ll have opportunities to work alongside great and talented people. Plus, you’ll get lots of freedom to try out new ideas and shape where our multibillion-pound business goes next. And by the end of the scheme, you’ll have developed all the core skills you need to take on your first permanent role.

What we’re looking for

The essential requirements are that you have or will be graduating soon and have a passion for technology. It doesn’t matter what your degree is in. You will have drive and ambition that you can bring to a team and you like to stay up to date on the latest technology developments.

Application journey

  • Prep Hub

This optional step will help you prepare for our application process — and you can access it before you’ve even applied.

  • Application

Time to submit your application on our system. We’ll be asking for your personal details, academic information and everything else that you think would be relevant such as work experience. That’s all there is to it.

If we need to make adjustments to make you feel more comfortable at any stage, please let us know when you apply — we’ll be in touch to discuss.

  • Digital Assessment

Once your application is in, we’ll ask you to complete our immersive digital assessments. They’re mostly situational questions and will also include a video interview.

We understand that you might want to utilise AI to support your preparation for taking the assessments – understanding Sky etc. But we ask that you complete the assessments themselves without the assistance of AI.

  • Assessment Centre

For the final assessment stage, we’ll invite you to our bespoke virtual assessment centre. You’ll get the opportunity to impress us in person and get a feel for what it’s really like to work at Sky.

The day could include an individual interview, group discussion or individual exercise. We’ll give you plenty of notice and let you know how best to prepare for the day.

  • We'll be in touch

Once you’ve completed all the assessment steps, we’ll let you know when you can expect to hear back from us. Good luck!

So I was really lucky in that I started my final rotation about six months ahead of the launch of Sky Glass. So, everything was still under an NDA and we had these demo products in our homes, even on the grad scheme right from the beginning, that was exciting!
