About this programme

Do you want to be part of a finance team that influences key business decisions and be right at the heart of all the action? Dive right into exciting projects and learn on the job while studying for your CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification.

Find out first-hand what it’s like to be a finance professional for a leading entertainment brand. Commercial Finance influences key business decisions. Support new product launches. Advise on whether we should invest in a new TV show or a game-changing piece of technology. Manage company-wide budgets and gain experience in our Corporate Finance team. And enjoy a collaborative, caring culture that helps us achieve brilliant things – with diversity and inclusion networks, paid volunteering days and a supportive graduate community. There’s only one place you’ll see action like this in your career – and that’s Sky.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll go on three, year-long placements, spanning the entire business. From content and channels to product development and technology, sales, and strategy. Plus, you’ll be financially supported to study for your CIMA qualification while gaining relevant experience – meaning that you’ll be able to join the world’s largest and leading professional body of Management Accountants.

  • Through your business rotations, you’ll learn how to set budgets and track against them, develop business cases to support projects and investment decisions, analyse data to provide key insight, and collaborate with teams across the business to meet and exceed our business targets.

  • You’ll have our full support to study for your CIMA qualification – with fully funded study and exam days and graduate committee guidance. At Sky your team will support you to make sure your exams can be your number one priority.

What we’re looking for

The one essential requirement is that you have or will be graduating soon. It doesn’t matter what your degree is in. We’re much more interested in your passion for numbers and the drive and ambition you can bring to the team.

Other skills we’re looking for include:

  • A problem-solver
  • Collaborative and great with people
  • A self-starter, eager to drive change in an exciting and dynamic environment

To be eligible for this role you are required to have the appropriate right to work in the UK by the start date of the programme. Please be aware Sky does not offer sponsorship for this programme.

Application journey

  • Prep Hub

This optional step will help you prepare for our application process — and you can access it before you’ve even applied.

  • Application

Time to submit your application on our system. We’ll be asking for your personal details, academic information and everything else that you think would be relevant such as work experience. That’s all there is to it.

If we need to make adjustments to make you feel more comfortable at any stage, please let us know when you apply — we’ll be in touch to discuss.

  • Digital Assessment

Once your application is in, we’ll ask you to complete our immersive digital assessments. They’re mostly situational questions and will also include a video interview. We’ll also ask you to complete a numerical reasoning test.

We understand that you might want to utilise AI to support your preparation for taking the assessments – understanding Sky etc. But we ask that you complete the assessments themselves without the assistance of AI.

  • Assessment Centre

For the final assessment stage, we’ll invite you to our bespoke virtual assessment centre. You’ll get the opportunity to impress us in person and get a feel for what it’s really like to work at Sky.

The day could include an individual interview, group discussion or individual exercise. We’ll give you plenty of notice and let you know how best to prepare for the day.
