About this programme

Sky is launching an exciting new graduate programme within Sky Business Sales — a fast-growing area focused on delivering broadband, mobile, TV, and sports packages to businesses like hotels, pubs, and other commercial venues. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a brand-new initiative, shaped by industry leaders and designed to give you hands-on experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales.

You’ll be joining a small, tight-knit cohort of graduates who will help shape the future of Sky Business. With structured training, real client interactions, and rotational placements across different sales functions, this programme is ideal for ambitious graduates who want to build a career in commercial sales and strategy.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll start the programme with a six-month placement in Leeds, where you’ll build your knowledge and get hands-on experience. After that, you’ll move to a new location based on business needs and your preferences — with possible placements in Manchester, London, or other UK cities.

During the two-year programme, you’ll gain a deep understanding of how Sky Business operates and how we deliver value to our clients. Your journey will include:

  • Initial 6-month placement in Leeds:

    • Desk-based learning and onboarding
    • Internal training delivered by Sky Business experts
    • Handling small client accounts and learning the fundamentals of Business to Business (B2B) sales
  • Rotational placements across different sales functions, such as:

    • Wholesale Sales
    • Direct Sales
    • Account Management
    • Customer Retention and Acquisition

This graduate programme offers a strong foundation in both commercial strategy and client-facing sales. You’ll gain insight into key business areas such as business strategy, data analytics, and commercial decision-making, while also developing hands-on experience working directly with clients — building relationships, understanding their needs, tailoring solutions, and supporting sales growth and customer retention. By the end of the programme, you’ll have a well-rounded understanding of how Sky Business operates and the confidence to make a real impact.

What we’re looking for

This programme is open to graduates from any degree discipline — so whether you studied business, history, engineering, or something completely different, we want to hear from you. What matters most is your mindset, motivation, and willingness to learn. Curious and eager to learn – You enjoy exploring new ideas and asking questions to understand how things work.

  • People-focused – You’re great at building relationships, listening to others, and working as part of a team.
  • Confident communicators – You can express yourself clearly, whether that’s in person, over the phone, or in writing.
  • Problem solvers – You like figuring things out and coming up with smart, practical solutions.
  • Open to new experiences – You’re happy to move to a new city, meet new people, and try new things.
  • Motivated and proactive – You take initiative, get involved, and look for ways to make a difference.

You don’t need to have studied sales or have previous experience in the field — we’ll give you all the training and support you need. If you’re excited by the idea of working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and want to build a career in business-to-business sales and strategy, this could be the perfect fit.

Right to work: You must have the appropriate right to work in the UK by the programme's start date. Please be aware Sky does not offer sponsorship for this programme.
