From budgeting for new TV shows to supporting product launches, this five-year apprenticeship puts you at the heart of Sky’s big decisions.
As a Finance Apprentice, you’ll rotate across teams like Content, Product and Media, learning how finance drives everything we do — from strategy to operations. Alongside your role, you’ll study for your CIMA qualification, working towards a Professional Accounting Taxation Technician Level 4–7 qualification, all fully funded by Sky.
You’ll earn, learn, and grow while gaining hands-on experience, a recognised qualification, and the confidence to shape your future in finance.

Right to work
You will have valid right to work in the UK by the programme start date (03/08/2026) and will remain valid for the full duration of the apprenticeship (5yrs) without requiring renewal or expiring during this time.

What you’ll do
Across your five years, you’ll build a deep understanding of how finance powers Sky’s success. You’ll:
Rotate across different finance teams – from Content and Product to Media and Strategy
Set budgets, track performance, and support investment decisions
Analyse data to provide insights that influence business strategy
Collaborate with teams across Sky to help meet financial goals
Work on real projects like budgeting for new content or funding the next big tech launch
Get full support for your studies including funded exams, study days and mentoring
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for ambitious, curious people who love problem-solving and want to understand how a business really works. You’ll need:
- Have a minimum of five GCSEs A* - C (or equivalent grades 9-4), including English and Maths, or BTEC Level 2
- Plus, have a minimum of three A levels, grade A - C, or will have these by August 2026.
- To be aged 16–21 when you start the Level 7 apprenticeship in 2028, or under 25 if you’re a care leaver or have an EHCP
- To have finished education and be ready for full-time work by August 2026
- To not already hold a qualification at the same level in the same subject
- To have lived in the UK or Republic of Ireland for 3 years (unless exempt)
- If you’re on a visa, it must cover the full programme

What you’ll learn
You’ll work towards your CIMA qualification, starting with the CIMA Certificate (Level 4) and progressing to the CIMA Professional Level (Level 7). By the end, you’ll be a fully qualified finance professional with experience that’s hard to match. You'll build skills like:
