In my role within the Contact Centre at Sky, I get to be part of something that feels bigger. At its heart, my job is about helping people — understanding what really matters to them, cutting through the noise, and making things feel simpler and brighter.
It’s incredibly rewarding to be the person who can turn someone’s frustration into relief, or their uncertainty into confidence. Simply by showing up with patience, clarity, and genuine care.
I’m lucky to be part of a team that feels like a true community. We rely on each other, we learn from each other, and we’re always pushing ourselves to do better — not for numbers on a screen, but for the people on the other end of every call.
There’s a shared drive to improve, to try new ideas, and to support one another. That makes even the busiest days feel purposeful.
What I appreciate most is that our platform removes a lot of barriers. It’s reliable, it keeps things consistent for customers, and it helps us manage busy moments without losing the human touch.
It’s designed to help us connect across different channels too, which makes it easier to meet customers where they are, and keep the conversation flowing smoothly.
What is it that you love most about your career in Contact Centre at Sky?
I love the energy of the team around me. There’s a real sense of togetherness — people who lift you up, share what they know, and celebrate the little wins as much as the big ones.
We’re constantly learning, adapting, and finding better ways to help our customers, and that keeps the work exciting rather than repetitive.
What I appreciate most is how much room there is to grow. Sky encourages you to be curious, to develop new skills, and to explore new possibilities, and that makes the journey feel meaningful. It’s not just a job — it’s a place where you can build a career, stay inspired, and feel proud of the impact you have every single day.
Sky puts a huge focus on creating exceptional entertainment, reliable connectivity, and innovative tech across TV, broadband, and mobile - and that gives me a real sense of pride when I’m helping people get the best out of what they have.
We're known for delivering an incredibly broad range of content and industry-leading platforms like Sky Glass, Sky Stream, Sky Q, and reliable broadband that keeps customers connected to what they love.
What has been a career highlight/project for you that allowed you to make a difference?
One of my biggest career highlights has been being part of a project where I was able to genuinely improve the experience for customers by helping simplify how we support them.
Sky is constantly working to improve the customer journey — from refining contact centre systems to making interactions smoother and more intuitive — and I had the opportunity to contribute to that.
Sky regularly evaluates and redesigns key parts of its contact centre platform to improve usability and reduce customer effort, and those improvements have been shown to reduce call times and increase customer satisfaction.
What about your role makes you feel excited, ambitious and inspired?
What makes me feel excited, ambitious, and inspired in my role as a Customer Priority Specialist is the chance to make a real impact every single day.
Sky is known for delivering market-leading innovation — from Sky Glass and Sky Stream, to reliable broadband and award-winning content — which naturally creates high expectations from our customers. Being in a priority role means I’m right at the heart of helping customers get the very best out of those experiences.
What inspires me most is the trust customers place in us when they come through. These conversations matter — they’re often meaningful, sometimes emotional, and always an opportunity to turn someone’s day around.
How would you describe the inclusive environment at Sky?
The inclusive environment at Sky is one of the things that makes working here feel genuinely special. It’s not just talked about — you can feel it in the way leaders show up, how teams support one another, and how the culture encourages everyone to bring their whole selves to work.
Sky’s values emphasise being collaborative, respectful, and creating a sense of belonging and opportunity for everyone. That really sets the tone for the environment we work in every day.

Sky’s culture is built on respect and inclusion as core values - meaning teams naturally work together, uplift one another, and appreciate different perspectives. It’s a place where you feel heard, valued, and trusted. Sky recognises that people do their best work when they’re supported as whole human beings.

The company is recognised for its commitment to accessibility and inclusion, including partnerships such as being a member of the Business Disability Forum, which reinforces its dedication to ensuring everyone feels supported and valued.
In your role, what are the best perks and benefits at Sky?
One of the things I appreciate most about my role at Sky is the genuinely impressive range of perks and benefits that support both my work and my life outside of it. Sky really does invest in its people, and you can feel that day to day.
For starters, the financial benefits are some of the strongest I’ve seen. Sky offers a competitive pension where the company can contribute up to 9%, depending on how much you choose to put in, which makes a huge difference long-term. There’s also the Sharesave scheme, which gives us the chance to buy Comcast shares at a discounted rate — something many colleagues have found to be a great financial boost.
There’s strong support for wellbeing too. Many roles include access to private healthcare, and some employees can extend that cover to family members. Plus, the Sky Benefits portal gives us discounts across hundreds of retailers, making everyday life a bit more affordable.
I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunities Sky has given me to grow, contribute, and be part of something meaningful. Working here has helped me build confidence, develop new skills, and connect with people who inspire me every day.
If there’s one thing that stands out, it’s how supported I’ve felt — whether through the culture, the tools we use, or the people around me. It’s a workplace that encourages you to bring your best self, try new things, and make a difference, and that’s something I really value.
