As a Senior Procurement Manager in Sky’s Fixed and Wireless team, I work within an enterprise function that reports into Comcast and supports contracts impacting critical voice and mobile services.
My role involves commercial strategy and collaboration. I partner closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver value and efficiencies. Working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal and business teams across Sky, I build trusted relationships and aligning commercial outcomes with wider organisational goals.
It’s a highly interpersonal role that reflects Sky’s collaborative, inclusive culture and focus on doing the right thing.
What is it that you love most about your career at Sky?
What I love most about my career at Sky is the variety and impact of the work I’m involved in. I’ve had the opportunity to support major projects, such as negotiations linked to Sky’s launch of 5G SA as a mobile network, where the outcomes directly affect customers’ experiences.
I also really value the global nature of my role. Working with colleagues across the UK, Italy, Germany, India and the USA allows me to collaborate with professionals I might never otherwise meet, which keeps the role dynamic.
What has been a career highlight/project for you that allowed you to make a difference?
A real career highlight for me has been co-chairing the Learning and Development workstream for Enterprise Procurement alongside a colleague based in Philadelphia.
Together, we’ve created opportunities that bring people together across regions by delivering masterclass sessions, spotlight talks with expert speakers, and initiatives such as coffee roulette to help colleagues connect and integrate. This work has enabled us to provide accessible, meaningful learning resources that support personal growth and long-term development.
It’s been incredibly rewarding to help foster a culture of learning, inclusion and collaboration that makes a difference to our colleagues’ journeys.
What about your role makes you feel excited, ambitious and inspired?
What inspires me most in my role at Sky is knowing that the work I do has a direct, end-to-end impact on the services our customers enjoy.
That sense of purpose aligns strongly with Sky’s belief in bringing a better experience to people every day - and doing the right thing for customers.
I’m also motivated by working in an environment that values where colleagues can challenge the status quo to deliver results.
How would you describe the inclusive environment at Sky?
Sky has a genuinely inclusive environment that is visible in both its culture and everyday ways of working.
There are a wide range of employee networks, and it’s almost impossible not to feel included. With regular events celebrating cultural festivals, awareness days and initiatives such as the Sky Cares Christmas Wrap-athon, which everyone is encouraged to join.
Open working spaces naturally promotes collaboration and connection, while also giving easy access to leadership. Managers and senior leaders are highly approachable, supportive and generous with their time, creating a culture where people feel heard.
What are the best perks and benefits at Sky?
One of the best perks of my role at Sky is the opportunity to work with people from all over the world. Making new connections on a daily basis is really enjoyable and interesting.
The free Sky TV is of course great too!
