The people are absolutely what makes Sky and my role amazing, I love the people.

As a servant leader, finding the ‘spark’ and the ‘why’ to then guide, coach, mentor and support individuals and teams on their own journey and to see them thrive is both energising and rewarding.

Lifting others up and providing or unlocking key opportunities for elevation and growth through continuous improvement and curiosity mindset, nurturing our leaders of the future.

As the in-life production custodians we are essentially both the heartbeat and the life support for the live systems, which support the Business to provide excellent customer service.

Describe a project, or career highlight at Sky where you were able to make a difference.

As a team we have had the honour of launching two new customer management platforms for Sky Business. The second and newest of these will ultimately replace the first, with an exciting new technology which supports massive business growth aspirations, unlocking fantastic new possibilities for our customers.

At Sky we’re always challenging ourselves to deliver the next big thing. Describe what that’s like and why it’s exciting

We're empowered every single day to step outside our comfort zones or to break down self-imposed ideas of our own limitations. To stretch and grow beyond our roles. To embrace change with resilience and a growth mindset.

Creativity, the opportunity to try something new, and even to safely fail allows us to learn from experiences, and experiment with new ways of thinking or approaching a task.

How is Sky an inclusive place to work where you can be yourself?

The culture and ethos of Sky are all about the holistic with inclusion being for all. Being authentic is critical to wellbeing and bringing your whole self to work.

Sky has excellent employee, wellbeing benefits and support available, in addition to the various forums or networks celebrating and supporting difference and individual lived experience. This includes; Neurodiversity, Disability, Multi Culture, Tech Women networks, to name but a few.

There is no one right path into a role in technology. Bring the right mindset, attitude and aptitude and your own unique skills and perspective. The amazing thing about Sky is the opportunities that are then unlocked and available to go after and make your own.
