My name is Jamie, and I’m a Field-Based Home Service Engineer at Sky.
My current role is installing and servicing all forms of sky television. I also do broadband service calls for customers with Sky broadband.
I work within a small team of engineers who cover a vast area of London.
I was part of the trial team that had Sky Q at my home six months before it was released. The feedback we gave, on what worked and what didn’t, felt that it made a positive impact going forward.
I like trying out new tech. I got the chance to be part of the team that was installing Sky Glass into customers homes, that included wall mounting the Sky Glass units.
Everyone in my team helps each other out. Whether it’s a technical question, or asking our Specialist Engineers for advice on how to get to a satellite dish that’s in a non standard place.
I don’t normally work to far from home, so it fits perfectly with my work/life balance.
