I work as a Product Manager in the Data Science & Analytics team - specifically in the content space. We build tools that interpret data to help people around Sky understand how customers are watching and interacting with our content.
Getting customers to watch more of the amazing content that we produce at Sky is a real privilege. I’m genuinely passionate about our shows, so using data and product thinking to help people discover the stories they’ll love is incredibly rewarding and makes the work feel meaningful every day.
Sky has an unrelenting appetite for innovation, so in the age of GenAI you get to work on some exciting projects that really test the boundaries of what’s possible. I love being in an environment where new ideas are encouraged, experimentation is expected, and you can push technology to deliver real impact.
What has been a career highlight/project for you that allowed you to make a difference?
A few years ago I led a team in an AI‑related hackathon—after a Dragons Den–style pitch to execs, we took 1st prize by using GenAI to return highlights from a football match using a customer’s voice commands alone. As a huge football fan, it was incredibly rewarding to build something that meaningful.
What about your role makes you feel excited, ambitious and inspired?
What makes me feel excited, ambitious and inspired is how quickly the world of data is evolving. With AI transforming what’s possible, it feels like the perfect moment to push boundaries, experiment with new ideas and build things that genuinely move the needle for customers and the business.
How would you describe the inclusive environment at Sky?
In my experience, this is very tailored to individuals which I think is great - for me (and I talk about this in my Beyond Limits video), it is the implicit support Sky offers that make living with a disability a lot easier.
