During my Business Strategy Graduate Programme, I’ve had the opportunity to work across two very different parts of the business: Commercial Affiliates and Customer Communications Marketing.
In Affiliates, I supported our partnerships by helping track performance, plan product pricing strategies, and manage day-to-day communication with external partners. I also contributed to reporting, industry insights, and quarterly business reviews.
In Customer Comms, my focus shifted to delivering marketing campaigns that improve customer understanding and experience across the product portfolio as well as leading on our future capabilities workstream for the team that encompasses AI and new platform functionalities. Across both rotations, I’ve developed strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills while contributing to projects that shape how customers discover and enjoy Sky’s products.
What has been a career highlight/project for you that allowed you to make a difference?
One of my biggest highlights at Sky has been the breadth of opportunities to grow, learn and positively influence others. Attending PI Live (Affiliates Event) and AD Week Europe (through the Marketing Excellence Programme) was especially inspiring - hearing industry leaders speak about branding, creativity and the future of AI opened my mind to what is possible. I also loved hosting with the Early Careers team during Insight and Welcome Days. Being one of the first people new talent meets felt genuinely meaningful, as I could help set the tone for their Sky journey and showcase the open, welcoming culture that makes this place special.
What about your role makes you feel excited, ambitious, and inspired?
In my role within the Customer Communications Marketing team, I have been inspired by the chance to help shape the future of how we work. Leading on the Future Capabilities workstream has allowed me to collaborate closely with our Group AI team and bring new tools, ideas, and ways of working to life. Hosting workshops on emerging AI capabilities has been especially exciting, as it keeps us at the forefront of innovation while helping the team build confidence and new skills. Being part of something that pushes boundaries and empowers others is what makes the role truly motivating.
How would you describe the inclusive environment at Sky?
Sky’s inclusive culture has genuinely shaped my experience from day one. I’ve been able to get involved in employee networks and events that bring people together to learn, share ideas, and feel part of a wider community. I lead the socials pillar for the Business Strategy Graduate Forum and I’m part of the Emerging Talent Network, which has opened doors to meet early career individuals across the creative industries. What stands out most at Sky is the openness and trust - managers actively welcome new perspectives and give real responsibility early on, creating a space where everyone feels encouraged to grow.
In your role, what are the best perks and benefits at Sky?
One of the best perks is having access to the newest innovative tools and AI platforms, which keeps our work creative and forward-thinking. We also receive complimentary Sky products, giving us the chance to experience groundbreaking content firsthand and bring that excitement into our conversations and the work we deliver to customers. The campus itself is another huge benefit - its collaborative spaces make it easy to connect with colleagues, build relationships, and work face-to-face. I also love the events held around big cultural moments; even if I’m not directly involved in those campaigns, they make me feel connected to the incredible work happening across Sky and give us all a chance to celebrate team successes.
