I’m part of the SAS team, more specifically Baldur (Payments Manager). We work with all the streaming options from NOW, Peacock, SkyShowtime and Showmax

Describe a project, or career highlight where you were able to make a difference.

Working on the propositions such as SkyShowtime was amazing as we get to onboard additional territories, and have new features enabled for our partners.

At Sky we’re always challenging ourselves to deliver the next big thing. Describe what that’s like and why it’s exciting.

Pushing yourself forward is always something both challenging and scary. You need to constantly adapt and optimize your solutions and strive for something better. This gives you a unique opportunity to think outside of the box, innovate with new technologies, and explore the possibilities of existing ones.

You always learn something new and improve your way of thinking on a daily basis. For example, we managed to make our entire back-end services extremely modular. This enables us to adapt to new business requirements, and support new products launches.

How is Sky an inclusive place to work where you can be yourself?

Everyone can find a home at Sky. I get to collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

Sky is a great place to learn and grow, with an atmosphere of diversity and acceptance. Our team consists of people from different cultures, religions, and countries. Everyone feels welcome and respected.

We are all united by a common goal, to be the best at what we do. Sky provides an environment that allows everyone to be their best selves. We all get to express our ideas, be creative, and work together to achieve great things.

We’re given the opportunity to take risks, learn from our mistakes, and grow from our experiences. At Sky, we celebrate diversity and inclusion. For example, Sky’s LGBT+ Network provides a safe and supportive space for LGBT+ colleagues to come together and share experiences. Sky also hosts regular events such as International Women’s Day and Black History Month to celebrate diversity and promote inclusion.
