Tell us about your role, and your team.

We’re a team of super heroes – tasked with the identification, management and remediation of internal and external threats that may impact on the organisation. This could be the sharing of IOC’s (Indicators of Compromise) relating to observed Cyber Attacks.

We attend, and contribute, at industry partnership meetings to understand the ever changing threat landscape within the marketplaces we serve.

We also contribute to keeping our people at Sky safe; by highlighting issues or events in the Cyber world that pose a risk to our working practices, or way that we use the world-wide web.

With a wealth of intelligence and investigation experience, we work alongside the CFC (Cyber Fusion Centre) to ensure the continued professional response to all things cyber related.

Describe a project, or career highlight where you were able to make a difference.

Sky’s reporting of the invasion of Ukraine received national recognition of “Best Practice” via the National Crime Agency – based on the principles of identifying the impact on our journalists (deployed covering these events and Ukrainian nationals employed by Sky), supply chain issues across the group, geo-political consequence and how the continued war impacts financial markets, and operating revenues.

This remains a complex and ever-changing scenario and I’m proud of the way our team have risen to the challenge and played our part.

At Sky we’re always challenging ourselves to deliver the next big thing. Describe what that’s like and why it’s exciting

At Sky, we believe in better. We never stand still. Being such a dynamic, forward thinking and ambitious organisation makes Sky a great place to be.

From our outstanding content, broadcasting activities, to our cutting edge technologies – our growth and evolution continues.

Alongside the world class facilities, working at Sky is a high speed adventure; exciting, exhilarating and fun, fun, fun.

How is Sky an inclusive place to work where you can be yourself?

Sky provide us with an outstanding great work/life balance, and commit to ensuring that these values are lived and not just spoken about.

Living by the “Believe in Better” motto, continuous personal development is identified and actioned in a supportive and understanding environment. A helping hand or reassuring ear is close by to support and guide through your development journey.
