Jade talks through some of the wealth of exciting projects she’s worked on since joining us as a graduate.
I started at Sky in August 2014 on the Change Delivery graduate scheme and since then I’ve been involved in a huge number of projects. I began with business analysis and project management on Change management Strategic projects, Broadband & Talk projects, Customer online projects, and Operational change projects.
Soon, I had the opportunity to work abroad, rolling out a new BB&T operating model in Bulgaria. I also chose to give 20% of my time to the Women in Leadership programme, where I worked on helping to create Parents @Sky. I also worked on flexible working changes for the business as a whole and collaborated with the execs to set the business case for the women in leadership project.
I also wanted to improve the Change Delivery graduate scheme itself, so after getting a working group together we now have an improved great training, social events and rotations programme in place for the new starters.
I’ve also worked as project manager with Risk Management on a mobile project, managing the technical delivery of our fraud and risk requirements. I would identify the appropriate stakeholders for each topic and gain approval of the requirements and technical solution.
On a day-to-day basis I work closely with Business Analysts to track the analysis and prioritise all deliverables. I conduct meetings with and manage key stakeholders expectations, help the Business Analyst to identify correct stakeholders for topics, escalate any risks and track and monitor actions. This is all to ensure we can deliver to time, scope and budget.
I’ve just finished the two-year programme having completed my APMP qualification in project management and will be working in the as a professional project manager within the change delivery team.
