UKIS DevOps provide core platform and environment services supporting development and delivery across all of the Sky’s complex customer management estate. Driving innovation and working closely with delivery teams while aligning to our core roadmap and principles of Culture, Resilience, Value and Measurement. We provide effective insights and analysis while putting automation at the very heart of what we do.

What you’ll do:

Driving best technology and software development practices with passion and enthusiasm

– Putting effective automation at the centre of what we do
– Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation
– Establishing and executing platform compliance and support processes
– Providing efficient production support and issue resolution
– Supporting and working alongside development teams to ensure they have the best facilities
– Investigating new technologies to drive the platform forward

What you’ll bring:

– Excellent Linux systems administration
– Experience of a wide variety of open source technologies and tools (such as Ansible, Puppet, Git, Apache, Tomcat, Java, Jenkins, Spring, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloudfoundry.)
– Experience of monitoring and log manipulation solutions e.g. AppDynamics, Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana, Influx, Kafka
– Experience of delivering software using continuous delivery and deployment approaches
– Ability to code and script in multiple languages (Node.js, Elixir, Ruby, Java, Perl, Go, Groovy)
– Strong grasp of automation tools and networking including systems (F5, Cisco GSS/ACE)
