Cyber security graduate programme - Osterley - closed

Keep Sky safe from cyber-attack. Educate staff on security threat and vulnerability. Advise on new security threats. Get involved in supporting and guiding projects. All so we can continue to deliver products free from threat exposure.
As part of our Group Technology Security team, you’ll gain experience working across multiple lifecycle stages of Cyber Security here at Sky. You’ll then get the opportunity to take on a more focused role, whether that’s simulating an attack on our computers or designing system architecture. There’s only one place you’ll see action like this in your career – and that’s Sky.
What you’ll be doing
Take part in a five-week induction before getting under the skin of our cyber security operation. You’ll cover analysis, project management and specialist cyber security training. Throughout the two-year programme, you’ll do up to four rotations, before specialising, with roles ranging from penetration testing to security project management
Expected learnings during this programme:
- An understanding of threat intelligence and the common threats facing industry
- Common incidents that can occur and how they are responded to
- Business support and security program/project management
- Security design and architecture
- Information security operations
- Assurance, penetration testing and code review.
Programme facts
- These roles are based in Osterley, west London
- Programme duration is 24 months, rolling off into a permanent position
- Expected start is August 2022.
What we’re looking for
The one essential requirement is that you’re a graduate, or soon will be. It doesn’t matter what your degree is in. We’re much more interested in your passion for technology and cyber security and the drive and ambition you can bring to the team.

- An understanding of threats that face organisations and how they can be prevented
- A quick learner and a team player.
Number crunching your thing? Our Finance team is at the core of everything we do. Produce financial and operational reports. Complete financial analyses for product launches. Help with making investment decisions. This programme will give our graduates hands-on experience of becoming a Management Accountant in a fast-paced, exciting business.
Finance Graduate Fast Track Programme – Osterley - closed

If you’re a female student considering a career in Finance, this fast-track programme is aimed at giving you a head-start at building your career in a dynamic and commercial environment, for a leading entertainment brand. Alongside the opportunity to build your network and understand what it takes to succeed as a management accountant; we’ll be offering several our strongest candidates from this insight week a place on our February 2023, August 2023, or February 2024 Graduate programmes.
Commercial Finance influences key business decisions, supports on new product launches and advises on whether we should invest in a new TV show or a game-changing piece of technology; whilst managing company-wide budgets. All whilst enjoying a collaborative, caring culture that helps us achieve brilliant things. There’s only one place you’ll see action like this in your career – and that’s Sky.
What you’ll be doing
This fast track programme comes in 2 parts.
Insight Week – 15th to 19th August 2022
- Kicking off the week with exciting activities on the Sky campus in Osterley, including a campus tour which includes our award-winning Sky Central building, Sky Studios, the many onsite eateries and our brand-new Innovation Centre
- We’ll bring the role to life with opportunities to shadow current Finance Graduates and undertake a real-life project looking at what Sky should invest in next
- Explanation of the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification, including top tips on how to be successful from current employees in Finance
- Take part in bespoke skills sessions, which will give you in-depth insight into our Finance Graduate programme as well as how to succeed in our assessment centre
- Network with interesting people across Sky, particularly inclusion advocates within Finance who can tell you more about the culture at Sky and how you’ll be supported (i.e., employee networks, social events, perks and more).
During this week, you’ll be reimbursed up to £15 per day for travel and food.
At the end of this week, you’ll be invited to an assessment centre, where if successful you’ll be one of the first to get an offer at Sky for our 2023/24 graduate intakes.
Graduate programme – starting February 2023, August 2023, or February 2024
You’ll go on three, year-long placements, spanning the entire business. From content and channels, to product development and technology, sales, and strategy. Plus, you’ll be financially supported to study for your CIMA qualification while gaining relevant experience – meaning that you’ll be able to join the world’s largest and leading professional body of Management Accountants.
Through your business rotations, you’ll learn how to set budgets and track against them, develop business cases to support projects and investment decisions, analyse data to provide key insight, and collaborate with teams across the business to meet and exceed our business targets.
You’ll enjoy a brand new, action-packed, learning experience with us as part of your graduate programme. We’ll help you grow into a great future leader, with the right tools and support. Our 2-year learning and development programme sits alongside your graduate programme and supports you during your programme and beyond. Plus, you’ll have access to a range of tools, from workshops to digital courses (like LinkedIn Learning), which will help you along the way.
At the end of this Graduate programme, you’ll roll off into a permanent position.
Who we’re looking for
Achieving a better gender and ethnic balance is high on our list, so we’re investing in programmes to help us get there. This programme is specifically for young females interested in a career in Finance.
You must be going into your final year (in September 2022) or have recently graduated (summer 2022 or earlier).

For the first six months, you’ll team up with one of our experienced Business Analysts to help you get started. Once you’ve got your feet under the table, we’ll give you the freedom to do your best work, your way.
Key responsibilities on this programme:
- Work with the stakeholders to deliver new or updated products or services, document and align to business needs
- Support our training and communications teams, as well as retail advisors, in rolling out changes
- Define and deliver innovative customer experience journeys for new products and services
- Develop a streamlined customer experience
- Drive changes to the way we do things.

Our Change Delivery teams support the customer-facing side of our business. Deliver ‘best in class’ products and services. Work alongside a wide range of stakeholders across the business. Help grow our business and keep our customers coming back for more. There’s only one place you’ll see action like this in your career – and that’s Sky.
On this two-year programme, you have the option of choosing between one of two paths: business analysis or project management.
- As a Business Analyst, you’ll focus on finding innovative solutions, designing an ideal customer experience and working with stakeholders from across the business to define and manage business requirements for change.
- As a Project Manager, you’ll successfully deliver change by leading and delivering through the project team, making sure everything runs to schedule, to the agreed budget and to the commercial and business objectives.
On this programme you’ll dive into exciting projects. Work with people from Customer Operations, Product and Marketing and IT. Learn how Change Delivery supports our strategic goals. After two years, you’ll join the team as a fully trained Business Analyst or Project Manager.
What you’ll be doing
As a Business Analyst:
- Define and deliver new products and services
- Develop a streamlined customer experience
- Drive changes to the way we do things
- Support our training and communications teams, as well as retail advisors, in rolling out changes.
As a Project Manager:
- Keep track of your project’s progress
- Update relevant people in the business
- Define the business need for your project and help others understand it, too
- Manage and track risks, working with other teams to reduce impacts on timeline and budget
- Help us launch new products and services.

- Programme duration is 2 years, rolling off into a permanent position
- Expected start is September 2022.
