Our Mission from Prague

Our team is responsible for the Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) that power some of NBCUniversal and Sky's biggest streaming products, including Sky Showtime, NOW/WOW in Europe and Peacock in the United States. We design, provision, automate, and maintain the infrastructure that ensures viewers can reliably stream both on-demand and live content, wherever they are.

The wider Content Delivery Engineering team brings together CDN, Software, and Reliability Engineers who work across company-built and vendor-provided solutions. Together, we help deliver high-quality streaming experiences to audiences in the tens of millions.

Where Cloud Meets Streaming

Working in CDN engineering means operating at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, and software engineering. You'll work with modern cloud technologies such as AWS and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, helping us build scalable and resilient platforms while reducing operational effort through automation.

Because our platforms operate globally, you'll collaborate closely with Software Engineers, SRE teams, cloud specialists, and external CDN partners across multiple countries and time zones. Success in the role requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a distributed, multicultural team.

What Will Set You Up for Success

To succeed in this environment, it helps to have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, HTTP, TLS, and load balancing, as these technologies form the foundation of how content is delivered around the world. Experience with cloud networking, security, firewalls, or data services is also valuable.

We continuously automate how we build and operate our platforms. You'll use software repositories, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and scripting or programming languages to improve reliability, reduce manual work, and safely deliver change at scale. Familiarity with large-scale distributed testing, including performance and non-functional testing, is a plus.

A background in CDN technologies, web servers, or proxy configuration is beneficial, but not essential. We provide comprehensive CDN training and are looking for engineers who enjoy learning, solving complex problems, and improving systems through automation.
