In Prague, we work across a wide range of engineering domains: frontend development (mobile, TV, and web), backend (Java), platform engineering, content delivery networks, video playback (Golang), and data engineering (Python). Whatever your focus, you’ll work on technology used at truly global scale.
What role will you play?
As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for delivering functionality for our playback experience journeys and creating a richer viewing experience and deeper engagement for web users across in Europe, Africa and United States.
What You'll Do:
Work closely with Product and other Experience teams across the company to design and implement new features.
Provide careful peer reviews of changes as part of a team focused on reducing incidents and improving reliability.
Create robust automation to ensure stability and quick release cycles.
Enjoy troubleshooting and solving complex problems while collaborating with the team to achieve results.
Make the best use of all monitoring solutions to diagnose issues and support in-depth analyses.
Participate in on-call rotation to resolve production incidents.
What skills do you need to play your role well?
In-depth understanding of JavaScript/Typescript and React JS.
Knowledge of playback APIs, DRMs and other technologies around playback is an advantage.
Enjoying teaming-up and working side-by-side with other team members as well as in a cross-team environment.
Being self-driven and open to learning new things.
Creative thinking and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
