Sky Cares launched 2019, enabling thousands of Sky people to give their time and energy to good causes in their communities. We are working in partnership with over 40 charities across Europe. The key focuses are homelessness, loneliness, young people and the environment.

Every day, Sky people in call centers are reaching out to the elderly and isolated, as part of our volunteering befriending service.

Others are mentoring kids, supporting them to think big and enjoy new experiences. And we're doing beach and river cleans, to create a better environment for everyone.

Step 1: Get started

Step 2: Immersive Online Assessment

This stage is all about getting to know us, while we get to know you. It’ll give you a real idea of what life is like at Sky. We’ll ask you to look at possible work scenarios and answer honestly how you’d respond, deciding on your most to least likely actions. There’ll also be questions around your preferred working style.

Timing note:

Guidance tip:

There are no right or wrong answers – just be honest and true to yourself.
Understand what makes a great customer service / sales or retail representative.
Focus on answers that show calmness, empathy and teamwork.
When rank ordering your preferred responses to a situation, go with your gut instinct, don’t try to second guess what it is we might be looking for
Don't get help from someone else as these tests assess consistency.

Step 3: Getting to know you

A short video Q&A

If you meet the requirements of the role, you’ll be immediately invited to complete a short video Q&A on the same SOVA candidate portal.

You’ll answer three questions to help us get to know you better. This is your opportunity to shine so don’t be afraid to blow your own trumpet and impress us.

And remember, our interviews are rooted in behaviours that align to our values. We will ask you to tell us what interests you about us and the role and about times when you’ve shown resilience and strong communication skills.

Step 4: Feedback after the Assessment

We understand feedback is very important for you to be able to develop your skills.

There will be feedback provided at each stage of the assessment process. Once you complete an assessment, you’ll receive a feedback report on the skills that we have evaluated.

Please be mindful that this is not the outcome of your assessment. Your customised feedback report assessment can be accessed by logging back into our assessment platform, SOVA.

Step 5: In-store Interview with Store Managers

The final step - you’ll meet our brilliant Store Managers and the fantastic teams who make Sky retail such a great place to work. This is your face-to-face interview for the Retail Advisor role, where we’re excited to find out more about you.

The interview will mainly be competency-based. Don’t worry if you don’t have retail experience – what matters most is your energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for giving amazing service and helping customers find exactly what they need.
