What’s your top tip or advice for someone looking to develop their career? Do not be afraid to ask for what you want! Work with your manager, they can help you achieve your goals!

What does a typical day for you look like? I always start my day with a walk to work! I get to enjoy a walk through the park before reaching Osterley, to where my busy day awaits. Mindfulness is a big part of my routine. I use the time to reflect on the good in my life.

Upon reaching work I will have a catch up with my mentor, normally over tea! (An Irish woman who loves tea. I am not Mrs Doyle I assure you!) After a quick slurp I am off to one of many stand ups with the development teams.  Currently we are working on Personalisation Products. 4 Brand new products that you will soon see on Sky Q and NOW TV. It is very exciting!

Working with many teams, my day can look a bit hectic. However, don’t tell anyone, but I love the chaos. I can have anything from 1 to 10 meetings each day. So, I am often seen moving from building to building trying to find meeting rooms. I once joined a meeting that had nothing to-do with my work. But there were free biscuits, so hey, I stayed.

Each day never feels the same, as there is always a new challenge or other meeting room to find. Every day is different and keeps you on your toes!

What’s the best thing about working at Sky? Apart from the many comfortable seats and free tea? … THE PEOPLE! Maybe it sounds cheesy but the friends I have here, make coming to work 100 times better than it already is.

Tell us about a project that you’re most proud of and why? In my time here I have been part of two teams who have delivered three new products available in Uk/Italy and Germany. We are currently working on extending these products.
