Meet Stephanie,Business Development Analyst and ex-Strategy Grad
Stephanie looks back on her 3 years on the Strategy Grad Scheme
What most excites you about working for Sky?
Sky is in an ever-changing industry and so you need to be constantly thinking about ways in which we can innovate and stay competitive, especially within the strategy team. Sky also offers a rich variety in work, people, and culture and no two days are the same, which is always welcome.
What are the best perks about working for Sky?
The Sky offices are amazing, with subsidised gym membership, salons, a cinema, restaurants and cafes. In addition to that you also get free Sky to ensure you can stay on top of all the great content Sky has to offer!
What learning and development opportunities do you get on the Sky grad scheme?
The main learning within the strategy team is on the job. However, you get lots of opportunities to focus on personal development. Some courses I have done include; presentation skills, project management, facilitation, coaching, excel modelling, and business finance. Furthermore, there are four graduate development days which focus on developing softer skills and are a great opportunity to network with your graduate intake.
How would you describe the culture and people at Sky in a few words?
Friendly, passionate and fast-paced
Do you have any advice for potential applicants to the Strategy graduate programme?
Ensure that you have done your research on Sky and the industry. However, also make sure you bring across your personality and why you are passionate about working in a particular area in Sky. You will be interviewed by the people you could end up working with in strategy so make sure they get to know you as well as your skills.
