What attracted you to work for Sky in the first place?

I’ve always been interested in the television and media industry so when I came across the Sky graduate programme I knew it would be somewhere I would genuinely love to work. The exposure the strategy graduate programme provided to all areas of the business coupled with the rotational nature made Sky a really appealing place to start my career.

How would you describe the culture and people at Sky in a few words?

Collaborative, dynamic, outgoing

What learning and development opportunities do you get on the sky grad programme?

I was truly surprised when I started at Sky at the depth and variety of training provided specifically to strategy grads. From the beginning, it was clear that Sky and my managers took a genuine and proactive interest in my development. We have monthly training sessions which cover a variety of topics, from excel modelling to presentation skills. Additionally, everyone I work with is more than happy to help me whenever I need it. Six weeks in, I can already feel myself developing strong transferable skills that will be invaluable throughout my career.

Do you have any advice for potential applicants to the Strategy graduate programme?

Firstly, do lots of research! Sky’s annual reports provide lots of useful up to date information that will help. Secondly, show your passion for the business and make sure to submit your application – the Sky’s the limit!
