Meet Vicky – Home Service Engineer, and the Face of Sky
‘My biggest career achievement so far within Sky, is purely where I am now.’

Vicky Todd
Specialist and MDU Home Service Engineer
What’s your name and what is your role at Sky?
Hi! I’m Vicky Todd. I’m a Specialist Engineer and I’m also MDU trained.
Why did you decide to join the Home Service team at Sky?
Why did I decide to join the Home Service team? Honestly, because it’s what the ad advertised for; ‘Female Engineers wanted’, and I thought; “Why not? I’ll give it a go. Nothing to lose.” And here I am, three years later!
What training have you received during your time at Sky?
From the very start of training for DTH engineer, Sky cannot be faulted.
They put you through every possible scenario, they give you all your equipment. They’re just amazing to work for, they really are, everything is supplied. You are taught how to literally go from lifting a ladder, to using a drill, to putting your harness on. And that’s one thing you will find; if you need help, if you need any support, there is always someone there within Sky to get it from.
You are never on your own.
What has been your biggest career achievement so far in Home Service team at Sky?
My biggest career achievement so far within Sky is purely where I am now. Within the three years of being with Sky, I have pushed and pushed myself to go where I wanted to. From being a qualified DTH Engineer, I then qualified to be a Specialist Engineer, and I have recently qualified as an MDU Engineer.
I’m the face of Sky! When I knock on them doors and I see the customers faces and install their Sky? Nothing beats it.
