Working as a Sales Advisor at Sky Leeds, with Lucy
‘I’ve been fully supported by my manager, and by the people around me.’
What does a day life of a Sales Advisor look like for you?
A day in the life for me and my role; I’ll come to work for nine o’clock, I make myself a cup of coffee, the most important part of my day! I sit down at my desk and we have our 15 minute team brief, so I’ll chat to the guys in my team, make sure everyone’s doing okay.
We talk about the day we had yesterday, what our plans are moving forwards. I’ll have another cup of coffee, and then i’ll start actually taking calls, just waiting for my lunch.
We’ll get lunch and then, yeah, back on the phones, back taking calls, back talking to those amazing customers that we speak to.
How have you been supported and included at Sky Leeds?
I’ve only been here for two months, and like, working properly in the role and already I’ve been put up for promotions, I’ve been given a role model job – so, I’ve been really, fully, supported by my manager by the people around me.
My role models were so supportive of me, helping me get what I want to be, helping me do what I want to do – and then within my team, my manager, the people around me, are all supporting me.
Having weekly catch-ups, having daily meetings just to make sure everything is going okay. Yeah, fully supported within Sky.
What are the benefit of working at Sky Leeds?
I mean there’s so many benefits for working for Sky. I mean, free tea and coffee; what could be better on a Monday morning when you’re coming into work! We’ve got free Sky. We’ve got discounts on mobiles and broadband, and we get to work at an amazing office with loads of amazing people.
