An overview of our Contact Centre Apprenticeships
‘When completing the initial application, always think like a Sky employee.’
We are hiring for our Contact Centre Apprenticeships across a number of locations in Scotland and England, these include our sales opportunities in Livingston, Newcastle, Osterley and Leeds – as well as our service opportunities in Stockport, Dunfermline, Livingston, Newcastle and Sheffield.
When applying for our Contact Centre Apprenticeship opportunities, we are looking for individuals who are focused, positive and motivated – as well as people who are able to build relationships and rapport with customers over the phone and able to effectively manage the number of calls they’ll receive throughout the day whilst ensuring that every customer receives the high level of customer service that we expect .
Every customer call is different, as such, we are looking for individuals who are able to adapt to every situation whilst ensuring that we’re still able to deliver great customer service. While working in our Contact Centres, our apprentices will get a competitive starting salary – as well as free Sky, discounted broadband and free mobile.
As well as this, we will support them through a customer service qualification helping them to grow and develop within the organisation. Upon completion of our Contact Centre Apprenticeship Programme, a number of former apprentices have gone on to team lead and management positions. As well as this, some have moved into other areas of Sky and continued to grow and develop their careers within other areas of the business.
So working in our Contact Centres, all of our different locations have competitive, supportive and inclusive working cultures. This is a target driven role, however often there are friendly competitions run between various teams in the Centres to ensure that targets are met, but also rewarded. Alongside that, all managers and senior colleagues will support you through your development both with the qualification and also through the day-to-day role.
Sky prides itself on being an inclusive employer – our customers are diverse, and Sky wants to ensure that we have a workforce that represents that as best as possible. When looking to apply for our Customer Service Apprenticeship Programmes, we recommend completing an application as soon as possible. Our roles are very competitive and we do review applications on a rolling basis, which means sometimes the deadline listed may close earlier than expected.
When completing the initial application, always think like a Sky employee. We do keep the customer at the heart of every decision that we make and we want to ensure that is reflected in all of our potential employees as well.
