What do you do as a Contact Centre Apprentice?
I’m a Contact Centre Apprentice, so I help people with loads of different queries that they have. Mainly I’m doing home moves, but I’m trained on mobile and other products as well, helping people with different queries they have.
What do you do as a Contact Centre Apprentice?
I didn’t actually know that I always wanted to do this role. It was only when I started doing it that I realised that it was really for me. I started the role because I struggled getting into the actual job role, but doing the apprenticeship there’s so much more training and there’s so many different things to do in the day that is never gets boring.
What training have you received on the Contact Centre Apprenticeship?
The training is really good because it’s so in depth. There are so many different things that you go into which helps you know exactly what you have to do on a call.
As soon as you know what you have to do, you’ve built up the confidence and it makes your calls run so much better.
What skills have you developed on the Contact Centre Apprenticeship?
I think I’ve learned a lot more customer skills, a lot more adaptability. There are so many different people on the phones you learn to be different around different people. I’ve got a lot more creative while working here as well and a lot more confident in everything that I’m doing.
Do you have opportunities to grow and develop on the Contact Centre Apprenticeship?
I definitely feel like there’s lots of opportunities to grow. Even in the apprenticeship, I’ve gone from home moves already up to mobile and now I’m doing home move and mobile side-by-side.
There are always different opportunities coming up to do things in your team so it’s great, there’s so many different things to do.
What is the most enjoyable thing about the Contact Centre Apprenticeship?
I think the most enjoyable about working as a Contact Centre Apprentice is how different it can be on a day to day basis.
You have so many different people coming through, that there’s such a big variety of things that you have and the people that you work with are so supportive, it’s great.
Would you recommend the Contact Centre Apprenticeship?
I would definitely recommend working for Sky. Along with the confidence boost that I’ve got working here there’s so many additional benefits that you get working here. You have so many different opportunities to move to different departments.
It’s just such a great place to be, you have so many different areas to move in to.
What advice would you give to someone applying for the Contact Centre Apprenticeship?
My advice would be to be confident in yourself. Just be yourself, it’s the best thing to do.
