What’s your career journey been like up until now?
My career journey here has been a great experience. It’s given me the opportunity to work on major sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup, Premier League, Olympics, Rugby League Nations etc. through a variety of different projects, which includes branding, info graphics, 3d modelling/rendering etc. in addition to learning VizRT and delivering day to day graphics for the latest headline stories in sports news.
What does a typical day working here look like for you?
A typical day working here is mostly made up of fulfilling requests put forward by the production team and figuring out the best creative solution for it as well as how it’s going to work in a live environment.
If you’ve been here over one year, how have you made a difference in your role?
Having a good background knowledge in 3D software such as Cinema 4D and executing those skills effectively for a live environment has had an impact on the type of work we can produce which then enhances the output of Sky Sports News
What’s been your proudest moment since working here?
My proudest moments here so far are:
-Learning the Viz and understand how the Viz engine works, it’s a program that’s mostly common in broadcasting industry which makes it quite unique to be a Viz Designer.
-My concept being chosen for the late-night evening show “Through The Night”
What’s the most enjoyable thing about your job?
The most enjoyable thing about my job is meeting new people, learning from others and seeing your work go out live on air.
Describe your work/life balance?
Very well balanced between work life and social life due to the shift pattern, some weeks where I’m only in twice a week and barely work four days in a row.
What advice would you give to others trying to develop their career?
Always be willing to learn new skills as you become more versatile and stay on top of what’s new or trending within your specialist area

I can play piano.
