Delve into the world of Trading with Aman:
‘If you can show initiative and diligence in your work, it will be recognised.’
What’s your career journey been like up until now?
I’ve been here for 10 years so it has been very varied. I started my journey in the Athena contact centre and have had various roles since then – including Sales Coach and Quality Manager.
What does a typical day working here look like for you?
My role is to support the Indirect channel with Quality and Compliance, so I provide insight on things like Mystery Shopping and NPS. This gives the business a measure of how well our 3rd party retailers are doing from a customer perspective.
If you’ve been here over one year, how have you made a difference in your role?
I like to think that I bring the voice of the customer to the forefront of my colleague’s minds. There is so much going on here and people focus on so many different things, but providing insight into what customers are saying through NPS or call listening is invaluable. Everything we do in the background is centred around the customer, so their voice is important.
What’s been your proudest moment since working here?
There have been a few but going to South Africa last year to support the set-up of a new partner was fab!
What’s the most enjoyable thing about your job?
The people that I’m surrounded by are great and I’ve learned so much from different people over the years. I’m also very proud of our brand and our campus – very cool!
Describe your work/life balance?
I have a very fair work/life balance – I think the business as a whole promote fair and flexible working. It works both ways – because they’ve been flexible with me when I’ve needed them to be, I am happy to go above and beyond when it’s required of me.
What advice would you give to others trying to develop their career?
Be brave – there are so many opportunities here. If you can show initiative and diligence in your work, it will be recognised. And network – get to know people from around the business so you get to see the bigger picture.
An interesting fact/something no one else knows about you?
I love to travel and have visited over 40 counties 🙂
