How the programme works

It’s a fact that our 120-strong Change team plays a major part in Sky's on-going success and commitment to our customers. Working as either a Business Analyst or Project Manager, you’ll help us balance commercial success, customer satisfaction and employee engagement. It’ll be a challenge, but one where you’ll get underneath the skin of our business and land change that enables our teams and employees to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Analyst or Project Manager? Make your choice

This two-year, rotational programme will see you choosing to become either a Business Analyst or a Project Manager. So what’s the difference?

Put simply, the Business Analyst role is focused on finding innovative solutions, designing customer experiences and working with stakeholders from across the business to define and manage business requirements for change.  The Project Manager role is more focused on delivering the change successfully by leading and delivering through the project team, ensuring everything runs to schedule, to the agreed budget and to the commercial and business objectives.

Whichever role you choose, you'll be driving change projects and building strong relationships with key stakeholders from across the business. Expect responsibility from the start. We’ll make sure you get strong support from managers and colleagues to enable you to achieve peak potential. Roles are based primarily in Dunfermline or Livingston (Scotland) or Osterley (West London). You’ll also discover some great opportunities to work on placements in our sites around the UK and ROI so we are looking for people who are flexible and thrive on working in new environments.

More details

As a Business Analyst, you’ll be at the centre of delivering change within the business from concept to implementation. You will work with different teams across the business to investigate and analyse current business processes and define the ideal customer experience in line with business objectives and act as a bridge between business stakeholders and delivery partners. You will define business requirements for change and design solutions, evaluate options and present recommendations to inform business decisions. Development and training are central – as well as Sky Leadership Development, you will have the opportunity to study for a BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis in Year Two.

As a Project Manager, you'll help deliver the change successfully by leading and delivering through the project team, ensuring everything runs to schedule and to the agreed budget. In order to do this successfully you will also need to be able to build strong working relationships with your stakeholders – including your project team, business stakeholders, and other business areas. As well as Sky Leadership Development you will have the opportunity to study for a Prince 2 qualification in Year Two.
