Making the move to Leeds
Leeds is an attractive and vibrant location to work and live in. Here are a few reasons you’ll want to make the move.
Located at the very heart of the UK, Leeds is one of the country’s most accessible cities. It has great travel infrastructure covering land and air.
Leeds consistently tops polls for quality of life, leisure and shopping, and came sixth in Moneysupermarket.com’s Quality of Living Scoring Index ahead of Manchester and Birmingham. It has become one of the UK’s largest business centres.
There’s less congestion. While other major cities saw congestion spiral out of control, Leeds, Bradford and Bristol were the only three cities that saw their annual levels of congestion go down.
Leeds City Station is one of the biggest in the country. It has regular trains to a huge range of destinations all over the UK, and is in the centre of Leeds, just off City Square.
Leeds is possibly the best connected UK city by road, lying right in the middle of the country. It’s halfway between London and Edinburgh, and halfway between Liverpool on the west coast and Hull on the east coast.
Leeds is easily accessible by plane. Leeds Bradford International Airport is located ten miles north-west of the city centre. There are direct flights to numerous European cities and worldwide destinations.
Manchester International Airport is also easily accessible with a direct rail service from Leeds.
